Privacy Policy
MediaMTX Stream Controller is a private application used by its owner to automate YouTube Live streaming. This Privacy Policy explains how the application accesses, uses, stores, and protects Google user data.
Google user data accessed
The application uses Google OAuth 2.0 and the YouTube API after explicit authorization by the account owner. It accesses only the permissions required to manage the authorized YouTube channel's live-streaming resources.
How Google user data is used
The application uses authorized Google and YouTube data only to:
- identify the authorized YouTube channel;
- create and manage YouTube Live broadcasts and live streams;
- bind live streams to broadcasts;
- check stream and broadcast status;
- transition broadcasts to live and complete states;
- recover or safely complete a broadcast after temporary network or server interruptions.
Data storage
OAuth client credentials, refresh tokens, and live-stream configuration data are stored only on the owner's private server. These credentials are not intentionally exposed publicly.
Data sharing
Google user data is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or shared with unrelated third parties. The application uses Google user data only to provide the private live-stream automation functionality described on this website.
Data retention
OAuth authorization data is retained for as long as the owner uses the application or until access is revoked. Operational metadata may be retained on the private server for maintenance and recovery purposes.
Security
The application is operated on a private server controlled by the owner. Access credentials are stored in restricted files and are used only by the streaming controller processes that require them.
Revoking access
The account owner can revoke the application's access at any time from the Google Account security and third-party connections settings. After access is revoked, the application can no longer use the YouTube API on behalf of that account until authorization is granted again.
Google API Services User Data Policy
MediaMTX Stream Controller's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
